We knew it!

I went to the emergency room on Saturday due to some yucky contractions. I was also feeling really shaky so we decided to go. It turns out my blood sugar was a bit high (maybe because of the fact that I ate nothing but cookies for breakfast?) and I was dehydrated. I really don't understand that one because it seems like all I do is drink and pee... guess I just have to drink and pee MORE. I was told not to do any lifting or housework (dang it!) and to lay down as soon as I feel the tightening... and to lay down as often as I can period. They did a check to make sure the babies were okay and I had the coolest sonographer ever. He was really funny and let me look at things we weren't specifically told to (such as their sexes :)) and for longer than he should have. He was intrigued by them being twins. So... are you curious? Drum roll please...

A BOY
and a GIRL!!
Here's the money shot!
That's right, we're having one of each and are so ecstatic- especially Abby who immediately said, "I knew it all along! I was right!" Now we're off to argue about names. We just can't keep calling them baby a and baby b OR baby boy and baby girl, can we?

I am so glad I will know which kid is which! thanks for making my life more convenient. The kids are looking forward to seeing Abby more now that you're becoming all incapacitated. If only you were as excited about it as they were....

That's great! At first I thought you were saying you were having two boys and a girl - TRIPLETS!!! Then I understood... One of each. That will be so much fun! Oh, and I have a baby bathtub we're getting rid of if you are interested. Email me and I'll bring it to book club.

Bethany! That is so cool! Is he sucking his thumb in that first picture? He has the cutest little profile already! And I agree with Kelsie--at first I thought you meant you were having triplets and I about died for you.

Um seriously!!! A boy and a girl! Holy stiff cow! (you know, the one we saw on the side of the road some years back) Anyway, yea for you! Good luck with all of that double duty thing. Looks like you're already getting a run for you money. They've started early wearing you down. Love ya...

OK so I couldn't get the stupid word verification thing right so now I have to leave a whole new comment. Basically I just said that it looked like the twins were already giving you a run for your money with contractions and junk. Good luck when they get here. I'm excited to watch you from afar!!!
